Why ArmorDeck

Heavy-Duty Deck Protection

Industrial-grade coating for steel and metal deck surfaces exposed to foot traffic, equipment, and weather.

Slip-Resistant Options

Available with aggregate additives for improved traction on walkways, platforms, and industrial decking.

Chemical Resistant

Withstands exposure to oils, solvents, and industrial chemicals common in warehouse and manufacturing environments.

Corrosion Barrier

Seals metal decking against moisture intrusion, halting rust before it compromises structural integrity.

Deck Surfaces We Protect

Engineered for demanding real-world conditions across a wide range of applications.

  • Steel & metal decking
  • Walkways & catwalks
  • Loading docks
  • Mezzanines & platforms
  • Marine & waterfront decks
  • Parking structures

Frequently Asked Questions

Specifier and Contractor Questions

How does coating compare to deck replacement on cost?

Where the deck is still structurally sound, membrane protection typically runs 20 to 40 percent of the cost of cutting out and replacing deck sections — and avoids the engineering, welding and occupancy disruption that deck replacement drags in.

What service life should we design around?

Warranted 10 years at 40 mils and 15 years at 60 mils of dry film. On interior mezzanines out of UV exposure, field performance well beyond the warranty period is normal, and the system is recoatable.

Will it hold up under forklifts and carts?

Yes — 2,850 PSI tensile strength with 400% elongation gives the film both hardness and give, so point loads and pallet-jack wheels do not crack it the way rigid epoxies crack. High-abuse aisles can be specified with an aggregate-filled wear course.

Is a slip-resistant finish available?

Standard option: aggregate broadcast into the topcoat, specified by traffic level. Smooth finish is typical under roofing assemblies; textured is typical on walkways, stairs and mezzanine aisles.

What colors are offered?

Gray and safety-marking colors for interior decks and walkways; reflective white for exposed topside work. Line striping can be applied directly over the cured membrane.

Who installs it?

Certified applicators in our network, listed by region on request for bid solicitation. Contractors who want to self-perform can be trained and certified — the equipment is standard plural-component spray gear.
